Bacon, Bacon, BACON!!

Do you cringe when your family wants bacon for breakfast? Tired of the grease splatters all over the stove top and lingering smell of bacon that wafts through the house all day. If you haven’t tried cooking your bacon in the oven (or on the grill) you need to start STAT! This Sheet Pan Bacon slice recipe are perfect and this is why:

  • -It’s quick and easy.

  • -You can make more at once.

  • -It’s the best way to cook bacon evenly.

  • -No splattering.

Sheet Pan Bacon

Sheet Pan Bacon

Preheat oven at 400 degrees. Using the large Pampered Chef sheet pan, use aluminum foil to cover bottom and edges of pan. Place a wire rack in the sheet pan and lay bacon slices across the rack in a single layer. Do not overlap. Bake for 20 Minutes*

*If you prefer crispier, bake a few minutes longer, if you like it soft and chewier, bake a few minutes less.

Clean up is a cinch. Simply tilt the pan and pour into a container (when the grease is still warm). Use the leftover bacon grease for butter or oil substitute. Use grease to fry eggs, chicken wings, or use for sauteing veggies.

Sheet Pans and Sets

Here are a few other yummy bacon recipes.

Sweet and Spicy Candied Bacon

Season the night before so the rub can absorb into the bacon.

Whisk together 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar, 2 tsp. of black pepper, 1 tsp. kosher salt and 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper in small bowl.

Place two lightly greased racks on top of the aluminum foiled large sheet pans. Lay bacon in a single layer across racks. Sprinkle the sweet and spicy mixture over the slices and rub into bacon. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through. Let bacon cool on racks for 5 minutes. Bacon will be flat and crispy. Place on serving platter and enjoy for brunch or in your Bloody Mary's.

Parmesan Garlic Bacon

Mix together 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese and 1 tbsp. Crushed Peppercorn and Garlic rub*

Place two lightly greased racks on top of the aluminum foiled large sheet pans. Lay bacon in a single layer across racks. Sprinkle the Parmesan Garlic mixture over the slices and rub into bacon. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until crisp.

*I prefer to buy the block of Parmesan and grate with the microplane adjustable grater for finely grated cheese that melts to perfection with the rub mixture.
